Account/Shop Statistics
I know eBay provides stats, what about Etsy & ComicsPriceGuide.com
Etsy Shop Summary
eBay has watchers that indicate interest, Etsy has favorites (as shown by Recent activity above).
Etsy Shop Detail (How shoppers found you)
Etsy Traffic Detail (Clicking the Title Link) in this case “Etsy search”
What i think is great is that it provides you the search terms that led the shopper to your item! This can be valuable for modifications for increasing search success directly from Etsy.
Etsy Account Setup Issues
My attempts to discover a solution within the online documentation would result in the strong suggestion to delve into the “community and help” which became discouraging. When I was certain the solution was missing; locating a method to communicate with support was somewhat labyrinth. I documented the direct URL to avoid time wasting in the future (not all will be so wise ha ha). My misunderstanding of the platform’s capabilities is quickly resolved in Chat with a CSR shown below (I believe clarity could be accomplished with a single sentence in the documentation to avoid my timely issue in the future).
Being Etsy is the #3 seed among eBay & Amazon in most fast-track (even long-term) platform solution discussions for sellers, where they are in the SDLC given their 2005 release date regarding accounts is surprising to me. I have not investigated whether eBay or Amazon’s shops operate on a single or per user account system.
Etsy: A little more account confusion
Etsy “Roles” are statements provided by the user that input them, nothing more. A buyer that opens a listing to obtain further details however is met in plural with a singular seller. Confusing during setup.
ComicsPriceGuide.com
Classifieds on ComicsPriceGuide.com do not provide any visible or accessible way to identify if there is any interest by the community. ComicsPriceGuide.com simply provides the platform for the parties to engage and it’s left to them to negotiate. The upside initially is the platform is specifically comic book collecting (which was the example used bringing us here). A “Shop” doesn’t exist.
